  • To reach the observatory PLEASE USE OUR NEW ENTRANCE at the north facade  via Anzinger Str. 13 or via Gisela-Stein-Straße (esp. if coming by foot from Ostbahnhof).
  • Please see the following map and follow the yellow arrows (by foot). Find the exact location of our NEW ENTRANCE here!

  • ACCESSIBILITY NOTE: Current information on the outdoor elevator since November 7, 2023:

The new outdoor elevator takes you directly up to the new main entrance of the observatory. Press 3rd floor (sticker: observatory). Access to the viewing platform can only be gained with our colleagues. Please register at reception first and our colleagues will then take you up in the elevator.

  • Book a private tour in English. (See below.)
  • Attend one of our English lectures or colloquiums as announced in our programme calendar (select ‚English lecture‘ or the like at the top of the list).

For more information, please see below.

Besides…

Why isn’t there more information in English on our website?, you might wonder.

Answer: Work is in progress (will take some time, though).
In spring 2021, our website was relaunched completely, almost everything is new and, partly, still under construction. Hence, it still takes a while until the English site will be ready. We are looking forward to it!

If there is anything left unclear or you want to have further information, please do not hesitate to contact us via mail or phone (+49-(0)89-406239).
